FOIA Denied - what else is new?

Wayne recently received his denial of the Freedom of Information Act request from the Board of Election Commissioners in Chicago for two very important items.

The items that were denied:

  1. Copies of the absentee application and ballot envelope for the entire 3rd Representative District, State of Illinois,

In the past, the Board did provide this information but after Wayne analyzed all the data and found more than 5,500 errors, the Board has taken the approach to cover-up any information relating to their potential incompetence and proving they just freely hand out absentee voter ballots without checking any information on the application.  They claim to check about 25% of the applications.  Yet, our findings were that 98% of the Applications had errors!

A real classic example of how they just rubber stamp and process an application without verifying anything is when a person submitted their application for an absentee ballot and provided the reason that he was going to have a heart-attack - two weeks from the date of the application.  And yes, the Board of Election Commissioners mailed him a ballot!

Another gem that the Board mailed ballots to, went to inmates awaiting trial.  This is not illegal as long as the person is awaiting trial.  However, not a single person that voted from jail had a voter registration number.

  1. A "binder check" of all the sheets that were torn from the binder and signed by the voter,

This denial did not deal with copying information but rather doing what is called a binder check.  For those that do not know what a binder check is, it is simply looking over the sheets that were torn from a binder to confirm that the signature matches with the data that is online in the viewing room at the Board of Election Commissioners, 6th Floor, 69 W. Washington.

Ranking third in the list is not a denial but proof of something else:

  1. Of special interest is one request in which the latest database file of all voters in the 3rd District was sought along with their voter history.  This is also public information.

The Board of Election Commissioners claims "The Voter History for the February 5, 2008, Primary Election is not currently available."

This is extremely interesting because the official results of the election are already tabulated and published.  How is it that any official results could be computed without knowing a dataset of voters that could vote vs those that did vote on February 5, 2008?  By publishing the official results, the Board had to of known who actually voted, otherwise, the totals are meaningless!

Now under the Voter Rights Act, 42 U.S. Code §173i, the Board of Election Commissioners may be in violation in not allowing the viewing of information that was used in the tabulation to verify anything.  In other words, you (the voter) have no way to verify anything.  The Board's approach is to say in affect, "This is the result but you cannot see anything regarding how we arrive at our numbers."

Maybe the truth is that the Board has not had enough time to cover their lies about the voter data and the entire election!

Moving Forward

Whether we win or lose an election, life goes on and with it, a constant will to move issues forward for all people.  This is the role of a true leader who, being beaten with the aid of fraud, still survives and helps the people.

During the course of circulating my petition I talked with a couple thousand people.  One of the most resounding issues that affected everyone dealt with Health Care.

I can state because of personal experience, that medical costs these days have taken a turn for the worse.  As I published in the older version of this website, there are approximately 48 million Americans that simply cannot afford health care in the country.  How sad.

I also published the fact that on January 1, 2008, more than 78 million Americans became eligible for Social Security benefits.  This was going to bankrupt Social Security.  The last statement is a hint to the problem just around the corner for us.

Now I cannot do anything about these facts directly, such as introducing legislation, but I, like you, can write to every one of our legislators both at the State level and the Federal level of government to make them aware of the problem and how it’s affecting millions of people.  A sample letter is being composed and shall be put online for you to print and mail and/or fax.  Email information will be available for all those legislators that have an email address.

SLS - Portal

SLS stands for Strnad Library System.  Shortly after we went online with Strnad's Library, literally thousands of people visited the site.  You can find some of the latest information about cancer as well as several links that our researchers have put online.

Latest data with chlorinated water and its link to cancer.  Chicago, as well as other major cities, chlorinate our water.

Strnad introduces the SDI

The SDI is an abbreviation for Strnad Databases for Interaction.  The first database that shall be available shall deal with Alternative Health.  This was perhaps the number one issue during Wayne’s circulation of his petition.  So, Wayne began to address the concern despite the fact that he did not win the election.  This is easily reached from the SLS Portal through a menu item.  This shall be available on May 1, 2008.

Wayne designed another database that we have just put online, May 1, 2008, and it deals with the circulators for an election.  This is the tool he used to find circulators that circulated a petition for two or more candidates.  It too is available through the SLS - Portal.

Last, but not least, is a database that shows the expenditures for the 2007 year at a local high school.  You can find this information in the SLS - Portal.

Strnad introduces The Blog

It seems that everyone these days needs a blog.  Usually, a blog is an application that allows the creator of the blog to place information and allow for commentary by the viewer.

Most of this web and its many subwebs are static oriented pages - meaning that they don't change.  Of course, those subwebs that are applications involving databases are interactive with the viewer.

Wayne created The Blog so that viewers can post information in reply to what is online.  Where appropriate, links to a specific category (as they are called in The Blog) shall be incorporated from this main web to The Blog.  This shall be done as time permits.

You can reach the blog by clicking on the button above.
